In the current year, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province in North China have reportedly stepped up their joint efforts in culture and tourism promotion – sharing information about tourism markets, route planning and tourism resources.

They have also deepened their regional coordination in the cultural and tourism sector.

The three have joined forces to cultivate local travel brands, create new sightseeing routes across the  regions and launched new flights, as well as put on trains for tourists.

Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have signed a framework contract agreement designed to reorganize their tourism resources and to build five tourism demonstration zones

A staff member from China Railway Beijing Group Co explained how the railway sector has been actively engaged in boosting the cross-regional cooperation on travel, by exploring abundant sightseeing spots along the suburban railway routes in Beijing.

Hebei has increased its cross-regional tourism by designing special schemes for trains and handing out travel brochures to passengers.

Guided by local residents’ needs in entertainment, holiday and in the personal health and fitness market, the three plan to develop a number of top-class tourist sites, as well as provincial and municipal holiday resorts and tourism demonstration zones and upgrade the quality of their cultural and tourism products.
