Adhering to the principle of acting within capacity with every possible effort, continuous efforts have been made to increase investment in fields related to people’s livelihood. Comprehensive advances to improve education, culture, health and sports have been achieved, which have steadily improved the sense of happiness and contentment of the people. The income of urban and rural residents is increasing at the rate of 7%. A number of good deeds benefiting the people are being conducted every year. It has been rated as a national demonstration city for infant and toddler care services. The number of community elderly daycare places has reached 973, achieving full coverage of community daycare. Within the Second Ring Road, the “15-minute convenience living circle”has basically been fully covered. Branches of Peking University People’s Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other famous hospitals have been successfully opened, allowing the citizens to see renowned doctors from Beijing and Tianjin with convenience. The ecological environment has been continuously improved with air quality dropping out of the national list of last ten for three consecutive years and blue skies, white clouds and twinkling stars becoming the normal scenes. Measures have been continuously taken to regulate the unfinished building projects, effectively safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people and truly enabling the people to see practical changes and gain tangible benefits.
